INTRODUCING CAMILLUS K9

PHILOSOPHY & MISSION

At Camillus K9, we want to teach you to train your own dog. You'll learn about canine drives and character traits - what makes your dog your dog. You will also learn proper leash handling (which is important even after your dog moves to off-lead training), methods of correction, how your tones of voice and body language affect your dog, the importance of socialization, and much more.

We believe in positive reinforcement for proper behavior, we will not simply slap an E collar on your dog to gain his or her compliance. It is our opinion that an E collar should only be used as an absolute last resort.

The first year of your dog's life is extremely important. The behaviors they develop during this period of time will follow them the rest of their lives. Many people only seek help from a trainer after a few years go by and bad behaviors have developed. Even if you choose to do business with someone other than us, we strongly urge you to get some basic training with a professional while your dog is young.
